ACCESS TO THE ONLINE DATABASE OF CSN STANDARDS
To view the standards, you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 8 and higher) and FileOpen Plug-in installed.
Logging in is provided using the BUT login and BUT password. The standards are available in PDF format, which allows the security of view-only files. Printing is not possible. It is not necessary to be on the BUT computer network to access CSN Online – the available login allows reading the standards from anywhere. The number of openings for users is 30 standards/day.
Once the limit is exceeded, the standards cannot be opened. Standards can be viewed on a maximum of two devices (personal computer, laptop, tablet, etc.). To request the deletion of used devices, please contact the technical support of CAS (the current contact is listed after login in the left menu) or the Central Library eiz@lib.vutbr.cz. When logging in to CSN Online for the first time, it is advisable that the user familiarizes himself with the terms of use (tab in the left menu).
Access is guaranteed until 30 April 2025.
CSN ONLINE STANDARDS INSTALLED ON LIC HARD COMPUTERS
Two computers with access to the CSN online database are reserved in the Red study room for the purpose of consulting the CSN standards. Access is provided to the full texts of all valid and invalid standards. Standards are regularly updated by the Czech Agency for Standardization. Printing is not allowed.
PRINTED STANDARDS
Library and Information Centre has available only some of the CSN standards required for teaching based on the recommendations of faculty departments.
The Standards can be searched in the list of printed standards and borrowed at the loan desk.
ASPI
The ASPI database is used for working with legal information, but contains only selected CSN standards. It is installed together with the CSN standards.
